Uygur

When was the last time you heard the CNN say 'The pentagon has lied'?

Cenk Uygur is the host and founder of The Young Turks, an online news show considered the most viewed in the world with an audience of more than 150 million views a month and three billion in total.

Prior to embarking on his media career, Uygur graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business. Imbued with a love of policy, and leaning towards more conservative ideas, he enrolled into Columbia University Law School.

With time he opened up to more progressive approaches and ideas and found himself increasingly drawn to the entertainment industry—first as host on MSNBC Live and then branching out with the TYT network.

The outspoken journalist is also a regular commentator on CNN, Al Jazeera, ABC News, FOX, and NPR. Uygur is also one of the top five most read contributors on The Huffington Post.
